The 2nd annual Runner Film Festival hosted by Ravestar Productions is to be held in New York City between the dates of July 26st — August 09 2024.

Meant to showcase a diverse selection of cinematic, episodic, talk, music, games, art, and immersive programming, the festival will host over 600 screenings and awards in 27 juried categories. There will also be the series of Summer Rain Concerts featuring headlining performances from artists such as Noah Kahan, Lana Del Rey, Tinahse, Tyla, Maggie Rogers, Seventeen, Ateez, Glass Animals, Victoria Monét, Utada Hikaru, Stray Kids, Lee Taemin, Blink 182, Diana Ross, J Balvin, Post Malone, Ariana Grande, Megan Thee Stallion, and Shakira.

The festival will honor above and below-the-line trailblazers, giving away 8 lifetime achievement awards in its second year. It will continue to support the Ravestar Film Institute (RFI) a year-round non-profit arts organization dedicated to the preservation and distribution of creative works, as well as launching new RFI Grants which aim to support young filmmakers and documentary workers in getting their early projects launched, and distributed, by Ravestar and Rkive.

For Ananda: in jury films are any films eligible for any awards voted on by the committee. Preview films are early screeners that cannot compete for anything. Premieres also cannot compete. A Runner on a filming set is someone who does all the menial labor: the assistants, the interns, people who get things where they need to be and make sure everyone has all the tools they need to get through the production day.

The Runner Film Festival replaces the Tribeca Film Festival.

Opening is the premiere of Men In Black on July 26st, featuring a pop-up event at the Backyard at Hudson Yards.
